Supporting San Diego Fisher House
(December 7, 2018) – Fuse visited the San Diego Fisher House yesterday, located in Balboa Park on the grounds of the Navy Medical Center, to deliver a donation in support of veterans and military families. The one-thousand-dollar donation was collected during an internal Fuse team fundraiser that ran from Veterans Day through the Friday before Thanksgiving. Fuse team members, of which there are less than fifty, brought together $500 that was then matched by the company. “I am so impressed by the selfless support given out by our great team,” said CEO Sumner Lee.
During our visit to the San Diego Fisher House, Sumner, Leon, and Ashley from Fuse were greeted and given a tour of the premises by Assistant Manager Tiana Babcock. The Fisher Houses there, of which there are two, include nine comfortable guest suites each as well as common kitchen, laundry, dining, living, and outdoor areas. With these facilities, the San Diego Fisher House provides temporary free lodging for nonlocal military families so that they can support a family member undergoing a medical crisis in a local medical facility. The Fisher House relies on donations and community involvement to provide meals and additional resources or services for the families.
Fuse is a veteran-owned small business that creates innovative solutions for warfighters, and we are proud to have been able to support the San Diego Fisher House for helping veterans and their families when they need it most.
