Fuse’s CEO, Sumner Lee, was recently featured in a citybiz Executive Q&A where he discussed the company’s warfighter-first approach to developing tactical edge communications and networking technologies.
In the interview, Lee shares how Fuse blends the expertise of engineers and military users to design systems that meet the real-world needs of those on the front lines. “You’ve got to connect with the program office, the folks in Washington, D.C., and the users,” he says. “Out of those three things, connecting with the users is where we’re differentiating ourselves.”
He also addresses how Fuse is leveraging artificial intelligence to strengthen communications in denied or contested environments and details the company’s work supporting unmanned and autonomous systems — most recently flying agile mesh networks with multiple radios over Camp Pendleton to support the U.S. Marine Corps.
