Fuse Integration Joins UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering Corporate Affiliates Program

We are delighted to announce that Fuse is partnering with UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering as a member of the school’s Corporate Affiliates Program (CAP). As a CAP partner, Fuse may access Jacobs School’s 9,500+ bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate engineering students as well as its alumni network, to develop a sustainable talent pipeline. Additionally, the company may connect with faculty for collaboration and research – and with campus leadership to share in the vision and direction of the Jacobs School.

Fuse Joins AWS Partner Network (APN) to Empower Enhanced IoT Solutions for the Tactical Edge

We’re proud to announce that Fuse has joined the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN) as a hardware provider. CORE®, Fuse’s ruggedized virtualized networking system, is qualified to run AWS IoT Greengrass, an open-source edge runtime and cloud service for building, deploying and managing intelligent device software. With CORE, APN members and Fuse customers gain the ability to create an Internet of Things (IoT) solution at the tactical edge for ground, air and sea platforms.

Fuse Integration and Raytheon Missiles & Defense Enter into a Department of Defense Mentor-Protégé Agreement to Enhance Federal Defense Networking Capability at the Tactical Edge

Fuse and Raytheon Missiles & Defense today announced they have entered into a formal DoD Mentor-Protégé agreement sponsored by the Missile Defense Agency Office of Small Business Programs. The DoD’s Mentor-Protégé program is designed to support eligible small businesses to gain capacity and win government contracts through relationships and partnerships with large companies. Under the program, Raytheon Missiles & Defense will help Fuse mature its engineering capabilities and corporate infrastructure.

Fuse Conducts Live-Flight Demonstration of Tactical Edge Networking Capability During Joint Marine Corps/Navy Exercise

Fuse today announced it conducted a successful live-flight demonstration of its Tactical Edge Networking capability in support of the U.S. Marine Corps’ I Marine Expeditionary Force and the U.S. Navy’s Third Fleet. The joint multi-domain exercise enabled the interconnecting of multiple distributed nodes and command posts replicating expeditionary advanced base operations.

Throughout the day-long exercise at Camp Pendleton in California, Fuse provided networked text, voice communications and live video across the distributed network to the I MEF and Third Fleet. The company demonstrated resilient, multi-domain networking in a notional, SATCOM-denied environment; low probability of intercept/low probability of detection discovery for Bandwidth Efficient Common Data Link (BE-CDL) over out-of-band control planes; directional mesh networking; and multi-link crossbanding.

In support of the exercise, Fuse utilized three of its key products: Tactical Technologies Toolset, a remote network monitoring and management solution for multi-domain operations; CORE®, a flexible and small, weight and power networking solution that connects aircraft, ground vehicles and ships with ground operations across secure and unclassified networks; and the DARE Airborne Networking Gateway, which extends network connectivity for airborne and ground-based warfighters in a wing-mounted pod airframe.

Fuse Installs Permanent Remote Monitoring Solution at Navy’s Pacific Missile Range Facility

Fuse today announced it has completed the first permanent installation of its Tactical Technologies Toolset at a U.S. Navy shore facility. T3, a remote network monitoring and management solution for multi-domain operations, was installed for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, at the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Barking Sands, Hawaii. PMRF personnel will use T3 to better monitor and manage the Aegis SPY radar at that facility.

“Ballistic missiles are one of our nation’s fastest-growing threats and it’s imperative that the Navy’s air-and-missile-defense radar is working every moment of every day,” said Sumner Lee, CEO of Fuse. “We’re proud to support PMRF personnel with our T3 installation, so they can ensure that their Aegis SPY radar is working as needed, at all times.”

Designed to provide an easier way to view the health and status of distributed fleet networks and systems, T3 presents commanders and decision-makers with an intuitive layout of tactical data link, network and radar settings and status. T3’s high-tech, intuitive user interface will support PMRF personnel to better troubleshoot, maintain and manage the radar at this facility during day-to-day operations as well as for special test events.

For this landmark installation, the Fuse team coordinated planning and collaboration with PMRF personnel and Aegis subject matter experts at the NSWC Dahlgren Division.

Fuse to Share Tactical Edge Networking Products for Air, Ground and Sea Connectivity at NHA 2022 Symposium

Fuse today announced that the company is exhibiting at the Naval Helicopter Association 2022 Symposium May 11 – 13 at the Marriott Norfolk Waterside Hotel in Norfolk, Virginia. This year’s event, themed “The Human Advantage,” will bring together organizations with an interest in supporting the development and use of naval vertical lift aircraft in the United States Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. Widely recognized for his transformational leadership as CEO at Cubic Corporation, where he expanded the company’s value and innovative technology portfolio, Feldmann brings proven growth strategies, C4ISR solution insights and U.S. Air Force experience to the role.

Feldmann is on the executive committee for the National Defense Industrial Association and currently serves as the Finance Chair. U.S. Air Force Awards Fuse a Spot on its $950M Ceiling ABMS IDIQ for JADC2 Systems

Fuse announced today it has been awarded a spot on the U.S. Air Force $950M ceiling indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the maturation, demonstration and proliferation of capability across platforms and domains. The contract will leverage open systems design, modern software and algorithm development in order to enable Joint All-Domain Command and Control, providing for the development and operation of systems as a unified force across all domains.

“The development of the Air Force’s Advanced Battle Management System is an essential step toward unifying joint force operations across all domains – air, land, sea, space, cyber and electromagnetic spectrum,” said Sumner Lee, Fuse CEO. “We’re proud to be named an industry partner for the ABMS initiative.”

This contract award builds on the company’s work with defense customers, including successful demonstrations of its warfighter-focused products and solutions that improve networking and communications across joint forces at the tactical edge.

Under the IDIQ, work will be performed in locations to be determined at the contract direct order level and is expected to be completed by May 28, 2025.
